About Laughter Yoga

Laughter Yoga (LY) is an innovative idea where anyone can laugh for no reason at all.  We don't need jokes, humor or comedy.

It was developed by a medical doctor from India, Dr Kataria...see video on right.

We initiate laughter as a form of exercise in a group.  When we have eye contact with each other, laughter becomes real and contagious.

It is called LY because we combine laughter exercises with yogic breathing.  The yogic breathing brings more oxygen to the body and brain.

The concept of LY is based on the scientific fact that your body cannot tell the difference if the laughter is real or self-induced (fake).  A body gets the same health benefits either way.

You can fake it to make it.  Hahahahaha

LY started with 1 group of 5 people and now, 14 years later, there are over 6,000 groups in over 80 countries with well over 300,000 people.

15-20 min of laughter each day will give you excellent results.

My life has changed fabulously since I began laughing daily.  On going sinus condition...gone.  Self confidence...up.  Joy in living...way up.  Calm, peaceful life...much more so.  Patient and tolerant mom...way more so.  Quality of friendships...way high.  Lonliness...gone.  My total life experience became much more fun and fulfilling with daily laughter.

The standard of success in life isn't the things.   It isn't the money or the stuff -- it is absolutely the amount of joy you feel.
